No Doctor–Patient Relationship
Reading this website, submitting an enquiry form, or exchanging messages with our reception team does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
That relationship begins when you are seen by one of our consultants at the hospital and a clinical record is opened in your name.
Individual Results Vary
Outcomes of eye surgery depend on your prescription, corneal shape and thickness, tear film, lens and retinal health, age, general health and how closely post-operative instructions are followed.
No procedure described on this website is guaranteed to produce a particular level of vision, to remove the need for glasses in every situation, or to be free of risk. Your consultant will explain the realistic expected benefits, the alternatives and the specific risks in your case before you consent to any treatment.
Emergency Situations
This website cannot assess an urgent eye problem, and enquiry forms are not monitored around the clock. Do not wait for a reply if your symptoms are sudden or severe.
Seek immediate in-person care
Sudden loss of vision, an eye injury or chemical splash, severe eye pain, sudden onset of many new floaters or flashes, or a curtain or shadow moving across your field of vision all need urgent examination. Go to the nearest eye emergency department straight away, or call us on the numbers listed on this site during hospital hours.
